Essay Writing Competition - Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility:

   • The competition is open to individuals of all ages.
   • Students can chose any topic related to the field of Law.

2. Submission Guidelines:

   • Each participant may submit only one essay.
   • Essays must be original and previously unpublished work.
   • Plagiarism more than 20%, will result in immediate disqualification.
   • Essays should be written in English and adhere to the specified word count limit (maximum 1200 -1500 words).
   • Essays should be submitted in Word document format.
   • The deadline for submission is 15th June, 2024.

3. Judging Criteria:

   • Essays will be judged based on creativity, originality, clarity of expression, coherence of ideas, and adherence to the topic/theme.
   • The decision of the judges is final and binding.

4. Prizes:

   • Ist Prize - Cash Prize - Rs. 3,000/- + Certificate of Merit
   • 2nd Prize - Cash Prize - Rs. 2,000/- + Certificate of Merit
   • 3rd Prize - Cash Prize - Rs. 1,000/- + Certificate of Merit
   • All students shall be awarded  E-Certificates of Participation
   • Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

5. Copyright and Intellectual Property:

   • By submitting an essay, participants grant the organizers the right to publish and/or reproduce the essay, in whole or in part, in any format or medium, for promotional or other purposes related to the competition.
   • Participants relinquish the copyright of their essays and shall not publish them elsewhere after the competition, except with prior permission of Lawizard.

6. Privacy Policy:

   • Personal information collected during the registration process will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

7. Disqualification:

   • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who fails to comply with these terms and conditions or engages in any form of misconduct.

8. Changes to Terms and Conditions:

   • The organizers reserve the right to amend or update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

9. Acceptance of Terms:

   • Participation in the competition implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
