The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XXI was held on 7 June 2026. The Bar Council of India published the provisional answer key on 10 June, opened an objection window until 17 June, and released the final answer key on 10 July 2026. The result followed on 18 July 2026.
This page reproduces the complete official final answer key for all four sets — A, B, C and D — exactly as notified by the BCI, together with a subject-wise breakdown of the paper and direct links to the official question papers.
Every answer below is taken from the Bar Council of India’s Final Answer Key dated 10 July 2026, on which the AIBE XXI result was declared. These are not our own solutions.

2. The Four Questions Where BCI Accepted Two Answers
This is the detail most candidates miss. After examining the objections received during the tracker window, the Bar Council revised four questions — one in each set — to treat two options as correct. Anyone who marked either option received the mark.

Because the four sets carry the same questions in a shuffled order, these four entries are in substance the same question appearing under a different number in each set. If you attempted that question and marked either of the two options, it was counted in your favour.

7. Subject-Wise Break-Up of the Paper
The following is an indicative distribution of the AIBE XXI (Set D) paper by subject. Several questions straddle more than one area, and a sizeable group were reasoning-based — assertion-and-reason and statement-and-conclusion formats applied to a legal proposition rather than pure recall.

Two features of this paper are worth noting for future candidates. First, Constitutional Law and the two procedural codes together accounted for well over a third of the paper — the traditional core continues to dominate. Second, the paper leaned heavily on reasoning formats: a statement followed by conclusions, or an assertion paired with a reason, where the candidate must decide not merely whether each limb is true but whether the second explains the first. Bare Act familiarity alone does not carry those questions.
8. How to Use This Key
- Check your set code first. The sets are not interchangeable. Your OMR was evaluated against the set code you wrote by hand on the answer sheet, so match the key to that code and nothing else.
- There is no negative marking in the AIBE. Every attempted question could only help.
- The qualifying mark is as prescribed by the Bar Council for the relevant examination; check the BCI notification for your cycle rather than relying on figures circulating informally.
- For the four revised questions, either of the two listed options counts as correct.

10. What Candidates Should Take From This Paper
The AIBE remains an examination that rewards navigation over memory. It is open book, there is no negative marking, and three hours for 100 questions is generous — but only for a candidate who can find a provision quickly. The recurring failure is not ignorance of the law; it is spending eight minutes locating a section that should have taken one.
Two practical lessons follow. Tab your bare Acts properly before the examination, by subject and by the provisions that recur — limitation, jurisdiction, appeals, and the definitions clauses. And attempt everything: with no negative marking, a blank is strictly worse than a guess.
